We use imPC Remote as we've found it to be easy to use and install. It's a good program and works across a broad spectrum of Windows operating systems both old and new.
Only download the remote client if you've been instructed to do so.
The typical first step for remote support is to use the Quote or Contact Us screens to make an initial contact. If you've already done that then yes you will need to download the remote client as requested to allow us to remote connect.
New customers will have to pay for their first hour of support up front via Credit Card or PayPal, existing customers have 30 days to pay their invoice.
For customers with a lot of computers or repetitive need for connection we can establish a monthly maintenance agreement and payment can be arranged on a monthly basis.
If for whatever reason you are not entirely happy with our service you can reach out to us for a refund (up to 30 days after support) of any support fees (excluding third party fees such as software licenses).
As long as the program is installed we can remote connect at any time the computer is turned on and connected to the internet.
If you've changed your mind about letting us connect or you've already had support and wish to uninstall the program you can do so through Control Panel Add Remove Programs.
This would be a false positive, or an indicator that your anti-virus thinks a lot of things are suspicious but at the same time we would never force you into anything that you are no longer sure about. Stop the install and if necessary uninstall our remote client.
For the last 15 years we have solely used anti-virus products by ESET. Currently our preferred version is ESET Smart Security Premium. A $40 one year license fee is required for us to install this product. You can then choose to renew for year two at $40 or let the license expire.
